11 yrs ago, today...

June 7, 1997 was my big move to San Diego. Two months prior, on April 6, the rest of my family had arrived already. I stayed back in Florida to finish my junior year of high school.

I remember Luke's mom took me to Taco Bell and got me a kid's meal so that I could get the free watch... so I could have a watch for my flight. Haha.

I arrived in the afternoon in San Diego, and my entire family came to pick me up at the airport (mom and siblings). We then met my grandparents and uncle at the Hamburger Factory in Poway, for a late lunch. I remember having a turkey sandwich. Can you believe that... Liz, whose favorite food is a hamburger, went to a restaurant called the Hamburger Factory and ordered a turkey sandwich. I must have been severely jet-lagged and couldn't think properly. Heehee.

A few days after I arrived, I started my job at the North County Soccer Park, which my uncle owned at the time.

I was 17... about to graduate from high school... my little sister and brother, Amanda and James, were 6 and 4 yrs old.

Now here I am, with a 6 and 4 yr old girl and boy... and Amanda is graduating from high school at the age of 17.

Wow....
