We're getting married! ... pictures too

David tells me that he had all different kinds of plans to propose but they never worked out. On Friday we were going to hike in Lake Poway in the mountains (my favorite place), and apparently he was going to do it at the top of the hike.... but we never got to go because of the rain.

Then we went to this really cool Farmers Market thing that had all kinds of shops and he saw a really neat place in that area that would be perfect, but I didn't want to go in that direction. I said "nah, it's just more of the same old shops. Let's go buy some oranges". Haha. (He asked me later if I noticed that his ankle kept itching- he had the ring in his sock all day!)

Then the next plan was to do it at the restaurant, on Valentine's night, Saturday, except Saturday I was sick all day and night with a terrible stomach bug, and couldn't get out of bed. So that's where it happened!!! One of my favorite little excerpts from his little speech is, “Even though you’re an artist, I don’t think you realize just how much color you add in my life” … awww!!

We ended up going out Sunday night instead to a nice dinner at the Marine Room. Here are some photos my sister Amanda took before we went out, and also us at dinner.
