Worried about your retirement plan?

Jesus already has one set up for you in heaven (if that's where you're storing your faith). You'll be retiring in a place where streets are paved in gold. So let's not freak out about the economy of this world. LOL. This is my friend James' blog.... take a read! *here*

Worry Schmurry

"Don't worry! All circumstances are owned by Me. The good ones come from Me, and the bad ones are bought by Me and made good."

This is a word from the Lord. Okay, it's not in the Bible or anything, but God clearly mentioned these words to me. Anyway, He gives promises all over the place just like this in the Bible.

Romans 8:28 says "All things work together for good, for those that love God and are called according to His purpose."

What circumstance do we need to fear? God promises that if we love Him, and are called to His purpose (isn't that all of us?) everything will be okay. And besides… no matter what we have to deal with on this earth, what's the worst that will happen in the end of it all? We die and go to heaven to spend all eternity with the God of Creation? I just don't see anything but happy endings around here.

Jesus suffered and died not only to cover the cost of our sins, but to free us from ALL things that bind us.

Romans 8:1-2 : "Therefore, there is NO condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Because through Christ Jesus, the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death." What is the condemnation, the punishment of sin? Death. When Jesus beat death, He beat everything that death is. Death in finances, death in relationships, sickness, and of course spiritual death, so that when our bodies die, we live again in Heaven.

So whatever is going on… big or small… don't worry, because the Lord says it will work out. Jesus PAID such a high price for what you're going through. You are not obligated to carry it anymore, so don't! Instead, He says, "take My yoke upon you, and learn from me, for my yoke is easy, and my burden is light" (Matthew 11:29-30).

Let's just take things day by day and see where God is going with all this confusion that comes in and out of life… I'm excited to see how it all comes together…

End of Summer Fun

It's only been 23 years since...

...I knocked my four front teeth out on my uncle's table at the age of five.

Kristin has been asking me impatiently when she will ever lose a tooth. I guess some of her friends have been losing their teeth, and she felt left out.

Well, Kristin's day finally came. Here are the pictures of my big girl with her first missing tooth. It was loose for about a month! She has a couple more loose ones that will probably fall out soon.
